Chilly morning in Cosne Cours sur Loire.

Crossing the Loire

on Europe's longest canal bridge.

Here come the castles.

with some more Loire in between,

and another old railroad bridge.

Now quite a bit along the Loire.

No famous castles here, but La Charité sur Loire is charming, too. (And we could have lunch during the rain.)

And it has a surpisingly large cathedral.

First a smooth ride along the Canal Lateral à la Loire.

But in the final hour, it rained, so we got quite wet.

The Café Vélo gave us shelter and good food.
